"Soccer" is not likely to be big in the US. It is a GREAT game to
watch, with long periods of very interesting play - but that's the
problem. US"football" has rather short periods of play with a LOT of
time for commercials in between. Given the dominance of advertisers,
guess which one will be supported in the US? It is not likely that
there will be a"popular" game in the US unless it has a LOT of dead
time between"plays". </cynic>
