The output gap measures the difference between an economy's actual and potential GDP.
Estimating potential GDP—the level of output consistent with stable inflation and full
employment—is part science, part guesswork. In 2002 Ireland will have the biggest
positive output gap among the countries shown, for the fourth year running, according to
the OECD. Japan and Germany will have the biggest negative gaps.

Jagg, ich weiß es nicht. Ich schau mal ob ich bei der OECD (daher kommt die Statistik) was finde, Ich stelle mir vor, dass Kapazitätsauslastung und Arbeitslosigkeit die entscheidende Rolle spielen.
