Ist das Hallo-Paper schon erschienen? @Popeye Thread gesperrt |
-->Hi,
das kam von Michael Hudson:
"The first"double entry" book keeping had matching receipts issued on an
item-by-item basis, prior to the use of silver itself; gradually, the
receipts and matching credits were denominated in silver, around 2000 BC. My
ISLET group will be publishing our British Museum colloquium on the subject
in late 2002 or early 2003. The paper was by Bill Hallo, and Geoffrey is
helping guide him on the technical accounting details."
'In other words, the archeological record reveals that the substance - as
distinct from its modern form - of"double entry" book keeping is over 4000
years old and pre-dates"the use of silver itself" for purposes of
denominating debts and liabilities.'
'Further to earlier postings on 'The State Theory of Money', this would seem
to imply that"trust" between economic agents rather than"law" served as
the first recorded basis for"money" - thus, the historical record accords
priority to the Creditary Theory of Money over the State Theory of Money.'
