Wenn Bush das von Vielen kriegt, wird es zumindest bei denen, die es lesen, ein bißchen was bewirken.

Dear Mr. President!
As a Christian, and as a friend of the US, I feel compelled to ask myself and also you the following questions:
The President of the US claims himself to be a “reborn christian”, a staunch follower of Jesus Christ.
If so, everybody would expect Mr. Bush and his supposedly also strongbelieving advisors (otherwise, would he then have engaged them for this job?) to follow staunchly Jesus’ example.
One would expect Mr. Bush to follow Jesus’ rules:
“Love thy enemy!” says the foremost and most important one.
It is THE rule, which justified Jesus’ coming and which was meant to overcome the cruel rules of the Old Testament. It’s the core of Jesus’ teachings. Otherwise there would have been no need for Him to get killed at the cross.

Now, please think about this:
You, Mr. Bush and your advisors are not loving, but KILLING your"enemies" - in the name of...?
I can’t believe it: In the name of “the values of western (= christian?) civilization”!
And You, Mr. President, claim for yourself, at the same time, to be performing the Will of God! Praying for peace and so on...
Now, as I never heard of God Himself and His Son Jesus being in conflict about their strategy in redeeming humanity, I always thought, this “redeeming job” was all about love, not war.

See, Iraq didn’t even try to wage war against the US. But nevertheless, US are performing “preemptive” strikes. That’s how they are justifying their utmost brutal aggression against the people of Iraq, to whom their sanctions have already caused about 500.000 dead children over the past 12 years.

This is why I’m experiencing hard times in my mind:
If someone tries to force me to live against Jesus’ rules - I think, I should consider him not to be a follower of Christ, but to see him as - in this moment - somehow linked to some"Anti-Christ", because he is working “anti” Christ’s teachings.
In other words, again:
If I would believe you, the President of the United States, I would betray my Lord Jesus - and I would betray myself, as a member of humanity.
This is, because God is present in every living being, even in Saddam Hussein.
Because of this fact Jesus wants us to LOVE our enemies and to perform almost endless patience with them:“Don’t forgive seven times, but seven times seventy times (= 490 times!!! How often did you, Mr. President, forgive Saddam???)."
Consequently: If the President of the US evidently is violating Jesus’ rules, are we allowed to consider him as a good fellow?
No, not at all, at least by his (the president’s) own measures.
By his own measures, he actually must be considered as a quite evil one.
And more than that: If he is staunchly acting against Jesus’ rules, as he obviously does, my logic tells me to even consider him to be a follower of some guy called"The Anti-Christ", also known as the"devil"
(= “d(eeply-)evil”). That worries me really!

I have to apologize, but simple logic leads me to these conclusions.
If I’m wrong, please show me were my fault lies. Show me, where you have been acting out of real love to the iraqian “bad guy” and he didn’t answer your truly honest attempts to making peace with him.
Show me, that the source of US-interests in Iraq doesn’t consist in oil interests or other economic interests or such of pursuing imperial power.
Did Jesus recommend to strive for worldly power? Did He???
Please show me, where Jesus says: “If someone endangers your position of power, please feel free to MOAB him. Be sure, my loving blessing will be with you if you do so.”

So, logically seen, we now have an “axis of the disobeyers of Jesus' rules” (=hypocrites, to say the least!) fighting against a prejudicated, supposed member of a so-called “axis of evil”.

One could easily let those guys fight it out, if it were not for the sake of all mankind:This hatred is bad for all of us here on this little planet. This is felt worldwide and it is a completely dispensable example of a ridiculous kind of conflict-solving strategy, which will never work. And has never worked throughout history.
I mean, even if it would seem to work, even if you, as the President of the US, might be “successful” with such murdering and win this war and the intended ones, you would be remembered and cursed as a cosmic butcher (if there will be any remembrance left). Not as a friend of humanity. You can’t win the hearts of humans by using force (this even applies for all subtle kinds of it).
Try LOVE - nothing else will work.
Jesus just spoke out a natural law, which is embedded in all members of humankind.
And if you don’t win the hearts: You will gain nothing, but You loose everything. You will be standing there with empty hands, in front of Your Lord, even if you may “rule” the whole world.

Therefore, I ask You from my heart - in the name of all mankind - to stand up and avow yourself as a true follower of Jesus Christ, to stop this error (you will surely be dispensed from it!) and begin to perform acts of real greatness: show the world the values of true christianity,
MANIFEST NOW the POWER of LOVE:
Feed the poor, forgive the sinners and those, whom you consider to be your enemies!
