Quantitative Evaluation of Pranic Healing Using Radiation of Cells in Culture

Abstract of the presentation:
Pranic Healing is a biofield therapy established in China and India thousands of years ago and refined for the modern times by Mahaguruji Mei Ling and his student Master Choa Kok Sui. Practitioners believe that they are able to tap into what is termed “prana” or “chi”, the “universal force” or “life force” and to use this energy to promote or enhance healing.
Here, we seek to critically evaluate Pranic Healing in a laboratory setting using rigorous mainstream scientific methods. In an initial study, we have investigated possible mediation effects of Pranic Healing on HeLa cells in culture which have been subjected to gamma radiation. Radiation survival rates are well known for HeLa cells and this laboratory model is well established and well characterized for radiation effects studies. Here the objective of Pranic Healing was to alter the effects of radiation and enhance the HeLa cells survival rate curves for a wide range of radiation parameters.
Treatment of cells with Pranic Healing, both before and after radiation, increased the survival rate from an expected rate of 50% to over 92%. Such enhanced survival rates were independent of the distance between the healer and the cells and were not changed even when the cells were shielded from all electromagnetic radiation, including X-rays and gamma rays. Slightly poorer results were obtained with pranic healers having somewhat less experience. These findings are difficult to explain in terms of the standard scientific paradigm.

@Amanito: Frage zu CST |
-->Hallo Manfred,
Gruss, shroom

-->Shroom,
