Der ältere Herr, von dem in jenem Artikel unten
die Rede ist, scheint keinen Satiriker für seine
Person neben sich zu dulden - da macht er die
schönsten und ironischsten Satiren über sich
doch lieber gleich selbst!

Bewußt oder unbewußt?

Ob ihn wohl vor kurzem jemand auf Artikel, wie die
von Mister Richebächer oder anderer aufmerksam
gemacht hat?

Jedenfalls nimmt er hier doch gleich mehrmals dieses
ominöse D-Wort (mit 4 Buchstaben) in den Mund, das in
seinem Wortschatz bislang gar nicht existent schien.

Hier zwei lesenswerte Absätze daraus:

He stressed the need for governments to regulate their financial systems adequately, for governments and the private sectors to provide investors with full and timely economic and financial information, and for governments not to insulate investors from risk by bailing them out when times become tough. And he warned about allowing a buildup of debt within the financial system.

(Auch das"not.. bailing out" klingt einfach komisch, wenn
man z.B. an das Jahr 1998 zurück denkt.)

The best insurance against allowing a nasty surprise to develop under the cloak of complexity, he suggested, is to limit the amount of debt in the system.

Der Mann weiß, wovon er spricht - meint man.
Die Frage ist: welches Land meint er wohl damit?

Mir ist Mister G. ein Rätsel.
Ich frage mich: Ist er senil oder der größte Komiker aller Zeiten?

Mahatma, Du grosse reine, feine, kleine Seele -

endlich ist ausser mir - cf. dazu mein Greenspan-Posting in den proto-paläologischen Schichten gaaanz tief unten - noch jemand (von sich aus) drauf gekommen.

Dieses Zitat beweist aber weder Senilität noch Satire. Sonder ganz einfach, dass er vergessen hatte, zu Beginn seiner grandiosen Karriere einen Kursus betitelt"Einführung in die Buchführung" zu belegen.

Hiermit hat das Board - herzlichen Dank - auch diese Frage beantwortet: Hat Alan Greenspan so etwas wie einen IQ?

Die Antwort lautet (ein für alle Mal bewiesen): NEIN!
