Worst Is Over for Ethics, So Buyers Wade In'
That's a possible headline for Thursday's papers. And you have to consider that it could bring even more buying in tomorrow when people say"hey, I don't want to sit this out now that the ethics stuff is dying down."
I think some buyers are saying"this was like a giant library amnesty day, and if you clean up the books and send them in, you won't have to pay. But after today, there is hell to pay, so maybe we have put this issue behind us."
I have to tell you, this logic makes sense. And that's why I think we'll retrace all that we lost during the first two sessions of this week between now and Friday -- and finish the week exactly where we left off last Friday.
For those of you who hate the market, I would wait until Friday to sell, because if we sloughed off Applied Materials (AMAT:Nasdaq - news - commentary - research - analysis), there's nothing else that can hit us too hard, as Dell (DELL:Nasdaq - news - commentary - research - analysis) will be just fine.
And, while we are admiring the positives, how about that Wal-Mart (WMT:NYSE - news - commentary - research - analysis) buyback?
