There's A Ford In Your Future

"The last ten days have been rough for Ford Motor. Its credit rating has been downgraded and Wall Street analysts have dumped on the company, complaining that its cost cutting doesn't go deep enough. I've dumped on Ford, too, but not because I'm worried about its bonds or cost cutting. I've complained that its new vehicle program lacks excitement, daring and--most importantly--fast execution."

First, Ford's not broke and isn't going to default on its bonds or its pensions. I've read the figures, too.

Ganz nebenbei: Ich liebe seine Kolumnen. Besonders wenn er die"Harvard Business School" Manager angreift, die keine Ahnung haben vom Auto-Bau.
Eine handelte mal vom six-sigma Programm bei Ford: Als Beispiel zeigte er wie Ford ein"cup-holder"-Problem beim Zulieferer regelte:-)
