-->Reaktion amerikanischer Sender auf die 'Katastrophe' (aus einem US-Brett)
<<
I'm sitting here listening to the radio in stunned amusement as every station is trying to put a happy face on the loss of 1100 homes and numerous fire related deaths.
Bill Handel, radio talk show host on KFI in LA is telling everyone that these fires are good for the economy.
"Sure it is gonna cost a fortune, but insurance companies and the federal govt. are going to pay for every thing"
"The economy boomed in this area after the earthquake, and it will boom again after these fires are put out"
"Bush has already declared the area a major disaster area, so the money is going to start flowing in"
"The cost of fighting the fire (90 - 100 mil) will be reimbursed by the fed. Insurance premiums may rise but that's ok"
"Insurance money will be spent to buy things and rebuild. Jobs growth will occur."
"Loss of productivity and business closures will be temporary"
These are just some of the quotes this guy is making.
Don't you guys in the rest of the country feel good about the fact that the Federal Govt. is going to inject so much money into California that our economy is going to boom.
If burning down 1100 homes is good for the economy, then I have to guess that losing 100,000 or maybe a million homes will be absolutely fantastic for the economy.>>

"Bergauf": Sunspots: N=238. Also 20% mehr als gestern, vor 4 Wochen unter 50. |
-->Aber man bilde sich bloß nicht ein, dass das etwas"Wünschenswertes" ist!
Ein geradezu Ehrfurcht gebietender Blow-off, der übrigens den Amis gerade kräftigst einheizt!
