Hey guys, for better or worse richer or poorer I have been adding shorts here in the QQQ. This AM I added my last at 35.45. And (being the stubborn dork I am) I am still holding several thousand SPY and DIA's short!!! for the last 2 years!! If I hadn't been loading up on gold shares to beat the band over the last year in this same account I would have had my head handed to me. The gold share bull move DWARFS the piddly losses in the short positions this year but!...It is kind of an insurance program like David said, insurance against the sucking vortex of credit contraction that looms. Prechters deflationary crash? Could we still get it?

Can the common stock market continue to rise here? Maybe. I commented earlier that I am watching a head and shoulders top develop in all the major indices. We are high on the right shoulder today. Gold pops $400, the dow starts to tank? I can imagine that. But what happens to gold after $400? The PM shares are in the stratosphere! or are they???

The nice thing about going with a true bull market(gold) is that it makes up for the error of holding my damn shorts too long! Or should I say it allows me to hold on to a position with the primary trend (Down/short) through this last years correction which will be but a blip in the history of this once in a century bear market. AND GREENSPAN AND BUSH CAN"T STOP IT! Shorters we are a ragged band hobbling, uniforms torn, hungry, dreaming of a meal of warm roasted bull. Hold your head high it is November 26, 2003 and our day is nigh!! The DOw and common stocks get more dangerous to hold every day. The next 1000 points in the DOw are likely down.

Advice of the decade for Ma and Pa and Joe six pack...Sell all your common stocks, invest $15 in a shovel, the rest in gold and silver the metals.

je mehr Du an Jubelmeldungen von enthu. Goldmitstreitern auftreibst, die wie Du fast schon närrisch (Verzeihung, aber kommt mir machmal vor) bullish auf Gold sind und meinen, Gold kann nur ansteigen, um so mulmiger wird mir.Ich glaube auch, daß es noch steigen kann und würde mich auch freuen, aber diese unbändige Euphorie von vielen, das habe ich gelernt, ist immer schlecht am Ende.

Das müsste Dir doch als Vollprofi auch klar sein. Oder nicht? Hast Du solche alte Marktregeln bzw.. Warnungen vor lauter Übereifer über Bord geworfen?
Das geht noch nie gut.
Oder willst Du mit diesen Jubelmeldungen auch uns eine Warnung vor einem erneuten Kollaps geben?
