To get rid of the"Windows error service" hijacker that is in circulation, try the following.
Search your registry for the following keys and delete them if found:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunAdRotator.Application
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun SuperBar.Component
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun {357AA41A-B7A8-4632-A27D-5B980B25CF43}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ServicesEventlogApplicationIISADMIN EventMessageFile %SystemRoot%System32inetsrvsvcext.dll;%SystemRoot%System32sp4iis.exe
Rename the following files by adding.TXT as an extension (later on when you are sure the problem has gone away, and you have no other side effects, then delete them all):
D:WINNTsystem32hui.exe
D:WINNTsystem32wbemsvchost.exe
D:WINNTsystem32inetsrvservices.exe
D:WINNTservices.exe
D:WINNTsystem32driverscsrss.exe
D:WINNTsystem32arpa.exe
Check your firewall rules, and see if any of the above has created an access rule. I was amazed to find that the bhui.exe had created a rule and I am sure I did not create it. If you find one, delete it.
The above worked for me. Good luck
