Hier mal was dazu aus meinem Duden-Taschenbuch"Redensarten":

Muss noch sagen: Der"Dicke" war mir tausendmal mal lieber als das jetzige Regierungselend. Schade, dass unser aller Helmut nicht rechtzeitig die Kurve bekommen hat. Der Euro war wahrscheinlich die größte Fehlleistung seiner Amtszeit, auch klar.
Doch jedesmal, wenn ich im Radio höre:"Berlin. Bundeskanzler Schröder...." dann schmunzel ich, weil ich's nicht glauben kann, dass das mein Kanzler sein soll (Habe bis Ende '95 in Niedersachsen meine Jugend verbracht - rot-grüne Schule (schrill-pink-grell-türkis aufgestylte Lehrerinnen aus der kommunalen Sozi-Fraktion mit Atom-Nein-Danke-Diskussionen im Mathematik-Unterricht,...dazu rot-grüner und roter Landtag, Schröder MP, hat IT-Fakultäten geschlossen, die Autobahn A2 kollabieren lassen,...ein Graus). Sumpf überall. Der ganze Infiltrationsapparat hat bei mir jedoch nicht gewirkt! - black is beautiful, würde der moderne Bayer wohl sagen.

Ich vermute, seine Unbedarftheit ist auch der Grund, warum er Präsident wurde:
er hat keine Ahnung und ist daher auf"Ratschläge" angewiesen, die er nicht durchblicken kann - auf gut deutsch: er ist leicht zu manipulieren.
