-->New home sales plunged 11.3 percent in November to a 1,245,000 unit rate, more than reversing October's 11.4 percent rise. Furthermore, October's sales were revised down slightly. Both the median and average price of new homes fell in November after declining in October as well. This does suggest that the housing market has turned around -- despite the spurt we saw in housing starts the other day. The number of new homes for sale increased to 503,000, a 4.9 month's supply, significantly higher than in the past few months -- and higher than a year ago when it stood at 4.3.
