Wird Mel Gibson jetzt ausgewiesen?

Mel Gibson's Controversial Vietnam Movie

Expect"We Were Soldiers," in which Mel Gibson plays Vietnam War hero Col. Hal Moore, to come under fire.
This month's Esquire says"the film may draw some criticism because of what some will interpret as its overly respectful treatment of the North Vietnamese soldiers."
Moore's response to the magazine:"I don't care whether the movie gets heat or not!"
Esquire says Gibson was"talking about war in a way that in 1918 would've had him clapped in irons next to Eugene V. Debs."
The actor's opinion of the communist North Vietnamese:"They had a grievance. I mean, what would you do if somebody came into your country?
"No matter what you think about that whole conflict - and I don't necessarily think it was a just cause. I thought it was a political game and a moneymaker, pure and simple. That doesn't change the fact that it had to be dealt with by someone, and these Americans were ordinary people."
Gibson promised that the movie, scheduled for release in March, would not denigrate U.S. soldiers,"as has often been done; you know, the Vietnam pictures, the portrayal of the whole conflict has been, in most cases, looked at with a very cynical and negative eye," with the Hollywood left depicting the Americans as"drug users and murderers."
