I wonder if you would be willing to help us in a project which is discovering more accurate ways to forecast the markets.
This project is the most comprehensive and objective study ever conducted into the Elliott Wave Principle.
The Elliott Research Project (ERP) is a special kind of free screensaver. Like other screensavers it starts up when you leave your computer unattended, and it shuts down as soon as you return to work. What it does in the interim is unique. Analyzing a chart by all the Rules and Guidelines of the Elliott Wave Principle is an exceedingly complex task. A fast computer can take many hours to fully analyze a single chart.
We here at Elliott Wave Research have been using The Elliott Wave Analyzer to create a massive database of confirmed legitimate Elliott Wave patterns. However, even using the many computers in our offices, we can only build a limited sized database of unique Elliott patterns. Hundreds of millions of patterns are needed, from a wide range of traded markets, to obtain statistically significant data. This large database will enable us to produce accurate probability distribution data individually for stocks, futures, commodities and indexes, for different degrees, countries, and markets - information that will drastically improve the forecasting of individual markets.
To obtain a statistically significant number of patterns, we have asked the many people using The Elliott Wave Analyzer, both in demonstration and registered mode, to run ERP as their screen saver.
When ERP runs as a screen saver, the unused processing cycles of the computer can be harnessed to carry out Elliott Analysis. ERP uses large numbers of Internet-connected PCs, all of which download chart data from the ElliottWaveResearch.com web site, then upload the results once the analysis has been completed.
This data is then added to the world's largest, most accurate and comprehensive database of confirmed Elliott Wave patterns. These patterns are then analyzed statistically to improve our understanding of the Elliott Wave Principle, which results in much-improved forecasting of both stocks and commodities.
