Danke Cosa!
Hier ein Szenario:
What would cause a double-dip? The story would be that companies, having pared their
inventories dramatically last year, now begin to rebuild them, boosting economic growth in
the near term. Meanwhile, they discover that, although demand has recovered, it is not as
strong as before the slowdown, and they initiate a second round of job cuts. This slams
consumer confidence, causing spending to be geared back anew. In particular, the housing
sector, resilient up until now, would stumble. Companies then would go through the
inventory adjustment process again, and we would have the famous double-dip: a
recession (last fall), a false-dawn recovery (now), another recession (this fall) and then,
eventually, a full-fledged recovery (next year).
