@Amanito: wg. Astrolog. Crashprognose von Arch Crawford
Hallo Amanito,
arch crawford ist dir ja sicherlich ein Begriff - was hältst du von diesem Bericht?
That was an interview with Arch Crawford, author of a newsletter Crawford's Perspectives which combines a mix of astrology and technical analysis to predict stock market moves.
The CNBC interviewer acknowledged that he had pinpointed the Sept. 11 attack in a previous prediction of a world and market-shattering event.
The CNCBC interviewers were criticizing him about a prediction he had made the last time he was on the show for a major downturn June 3-10. He had based the prediction on a lunar eclipse, Saturn opposing Pluto, an ongoing solar storm, and on the solar eclipse of June 10.
Crawford responded by saying that this was a period of major deterioration in technicals. He pointed to all major indices moving below the 200-day moving averages during this period and to the “on balance volume indicator” (an indicator developed by Joe Granville) declining to -19. This was a new low for this indicator in his experience, so he called Joe Granville for his perspective. He reported that Granville saw it as a prediction of a crash. The indicator had declined to about -25 prior to the 1929 crash and to -30 before the 1987 crash.
Crawford is now pushing back the timeframe for a major market decline. He sees the return of Saturn to the point of the eclipse on June 20th as extremely negative. Furthermore, the expiration of options on the 21st combined with the Summer Solstice should lead to aggravated emotions. In his latest letter he is citing June 20, 21, and 24 as days of negative transformation. He doesn’t expect the market to reach its low until the period from July 7 through 14. He says he normally adjusts the exact timeframes for predictions using technical analysis as the date of the predicted event approaches.
