Fed adds $5.0 bln in reserves via
five-day repos

NEW YORK, June 27 (Reuters) -
The Federal Reserve said on
Thursday it added $5.0 billion in
temporary reserves to the banking
system through five-day fixed
system repurchase agreements.

The Fed accepted the following
collateral:

-- $4.846 billion in Treasuries,
stop-out 1.88 percent,

-- $0.154 billion in agencies, stop-out 1.92 percent.

Earlier, the Fed added $5.0 billion in reserves via 28-day repos and
accepted the following collateral:

-- $3.541 billion in Treasuries, stop-out 1.73 percent,

-- $1.459 billion in agencies, stop-out 1.77 percent.

Federal funds were trading at 1.88 percent, above the central bank's
current 1.75 percent target for the rate.
