US Manufacturing index UP!

NEW YORK, July 1 (Reuters) -
Following are comments from
economists and market experts
after the Institute for Supply
Management (formerly NAPM) said
its June manufacturing index read
56.2, up from 55.7 in May.

The reading nearly matched
economists' expectations.
Economists in a Reuters survey had
forecast, on average, a June
reading of 55.8.
