-->Ford verkauft Anleihen, die mit den Autos der Schuldner abgesichert sind.
Ein Zeichen dafür, dass Ford das Geld dringend gebrauchen kann. Nachdem Fannie Mae und Freddie Mac den Bausektor subventionieren sollte die US-Regierung vielleicht darüber nachdenken Auto-Mae ins Leben zu rufen:-))

Ford Motor to Sell $2 Bln of Bonds Back by Auto Loans Tomorrow
New York: Ford Motor Co. plans to sell $2 billion of bonds
backed by auto loans tomorrow, according to people familiar
with the sale.
The second-biggest U.S. automaker, which in January sold a
record $5.1 billion of asset-backed debt, picked Merrill Lynch &
Co. and Salomon Smith Barney Inc. to manage the offering, the
people said.
About $1.59 billion of the debt will be offered to the public
through Ford Auto Owners Trust 2002-D. The sale will be in 10
parts with maturities spanning one year to more than three years
and ratings of AAA to Baa2.
