...Japan's trade surplus in August more than doubled to 644.1 billion yen from a year earlier on the back of strong exports, mainly to other Asian countries, shows preliminary data released Wednesday by the Finance Ministry.
The 107% surge represents the sixth consecutive month of year-on-year growth. The trade surplus reflects the gap between exports and imports on a customs-cleared basis.
