Former Global Affairs editor of MONEYWORLD and one of the top business analysts in America, Richard Maybury specializes in geopolitics and economics, especially those of the US and Chaostan (roughly the area from the Arctic Ocean to the Indian Ocean and Poland to the Pacific Ocean, plus North Africa).
He is the inventor of the Chaostan model. EWR is the first and only publication to specialize in reporting about it.
In the 1960s, as a member of the 605th Air Commando Squadron, Mr. Maybury was involved in covert warfare in Central America including counter-insurgency warfare (anti-guerilla warfare). He flew on AC- 47 gunships, and C-46 and C-47 transport planes, and was involved in training Central American army troops.
He has a degree in business and economics from California State University at Sacramento.
Explaining the connections between law, geopolitics and economics, Mr. Maybury has been published in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today and at least two dozen other publications, and has authored 22 books and monographs on topics ranging from monetary policy, investments and business cycles to the geopolitics of the Mideast oil region and former Soviet Union, and US foreign policy.
Mr. Maybury has been interviewed on more than 200 radio and TV shows across America.
