DSET slips on 3Q warning
By Margaret Kane ZDII
DSET Corp. (Nasdaq: DSET), which sells software and
services to telecommunications companies, said
Tuesday it would miss third quarter estimates after one
of its customers went bankrupt.
DSET fell 67 percent, or 13.31 to 6.63, on the news.
DSET said revenues for the third quarter would be
between $11.2 million and $13.0 million, and it would
post a net loss between $3.1 million and $4.2 million, or
25 to 34 cents per share.
Wall Street was expecting the company to post a profit
of 23 cents a share.
For the fourth quarter, the company expects revenues
in the $14 million to $16 million range, and earnings per
share at about break-even. First Call consensus for the
fourth quarter was a 33 cent per share profit.
