Was bedeutet Indonesiens geplanter Wechsel von $ auch auf Euro für US?

-->Bei den Amis liest man immer wieder, dass das ganz egal wäre, wenn Staaten das täten. Sogar bei großen Ã-lstaaten wäre das egal? Vielleicht kann ja mal jemand schauen, ob die folgenden Argumente stichhaltig sind.

1) In the unlikely event that OPEC persuaded everyone to make oil contracts in Euro, it would not be a diasaster. The USD has already declined markedly against the Euro in response to the deficit and the failing economy. By most measures of purchasing power parity the Euro is already overvalued against the dollar. A further decline would spell more trouble for Europe and Japan's overly rigid economies than for the US.

2) The US economy is far more resistant to oil price shocks than it was in the 70's. As such OPEC and Saudi has much less influence than they did then.
