Berlin, April 7, IRNA -- A German journalist was killed in fightings
between coalition forces and Iraqi troops south of Baghdad, the
all-news television network n-tv quoted the US Defense Ministry as
saying here Monday.
According to the report, two journalists, one of them a German,
died after Iraqi forces fired upon an American communications center
near Baghdad.
There are only three German television correspondents based in the
Iraqi capital since the outbreak of the war.
