Premiums for the investment insurance vary according to regional risk factors. For a contract that offers Y95 million in compensation for a Y100 million loss, the annual premium payment covering mainland China and Hong Kong is set at around Y350,000, while the premium for Taiwan is about Y290,000.

The overseas investment insurance can be bought not only for new overseas assets, but also for existing ones.

Overseas investment insurance in force covering mainland China stood at Y297.6 billion as of the end of January, accounting for 56% of the total. The figure stood at Y4.7 billion for Taiwan, Y3.3 billion for Hong Kong and Y2.4 billion for Singapore.
