Schwierige Frage. Jedes Buch, das nicht Big-Brother-Protokolle enthält, lohnt sich. Aber in diesem Strass/Howe-Mix ist es höchst kompliziert. Es verbreitet eine Art Spengler'scher Kulturpessimismus, dem man sich irgendwie auch nicht entziehen kann.

Für Nicht-Kenner, dazu dieses:

Das mit den Tariffs ist objektiv falsch. Die kamen (Smoot-Harley) erst in den 1930er Jahren.

Kriege und ihre Ausgänge sind immer unpredictable! So what?

Also, wie man sieht: Es ist stark auf die USA bezogen. Und ich habe es nur kurz überflogen. Aber vielleicht wird es eines Tages der Hit? Wer kennt schon die Bücher, die Weltgeschichte machen, im voraus?
