Es ist ja immer wieder schön Hume zu lesen, aber was willst Du uns mit diesem Beitrag klar machen?
Willst Du uns (durch den Text von Hume) wirklich überzeugen, dass es da einen freiwilligen Zusammenschluss von Menschen einer Region gab, dessen Ergebnis es dann (u.a.)war, dass aus Besitz verbrieftes und geschütztes Eigentum wurde? Abgesehen von den vielen logischen Problemen der diversen Vertragstheorien - die alle beim Lesen mein Herz erwärmen - ihre empirische Relevanz ist schlicht und einfach nicht existent.
(Bitte präsentiere uns doch nur ein einziges historisches Beispiel!)

Vielleicht hatte Hume selber Zweifel an dem was er vortrug:

Nothing appears more surprising to those who consider human affairs with a philosophical eye, than the easiness with which the many are governed by the few.
