Silicon Graphics reaches 18-mo.after Q2 sales outlook (SGI) By Tomi Kilgore
NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - Shares of Silicon Graphics (SGI) soared 37 cents, or 20 percent, to $2.18 on heavy volume after the developer of 3-D graphic computing technology said fiscal second-quarter revenue should be $235 million, which was near the high end of its previously provided projected range of $220 million to $240 million. The stock was last up 59 percent since the end of 2003, and had reached an 18-month high of $2.32 in intraday trading. Volume was last 10.9 million shares, which was already more than 7 times its full-day average.
