>WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- The dollar soared nearly 2 percent against the yen after Japan raised its terror alert to the highest level. The dollar gained 1.8 percent to 108.89 yen following the report. The Associated Press reported that Japanese officials are putting heavily armed police around airports, government offices and nuclear plants. But a police official wouldn't say whether there's new information about a terror strike. It's the first time Japan has gone on on such an alert since the invasion of Iraq, the AP said.
