Jim Sinclair zum Gemetzel am Goldmarkt
-->Fundamentals or Technicals - Which Will Win?
Author: Jim Sinclair
Which is more powerful, fundamentals or technicals? We are about to find out. On one side we likely have the most positive fundamentals in modern times for the price of gold. On the other side, we have various entities that seek to break the price of gold to fulfill their agendas.
Their plan is to make two lines, the MACD, cross over on the weekly chart. This is called painting the chart and if risk is taken, it is perfectly legal since short sales in regulated commodities do not require up ticks. In the cash market, the only rule is that"there are no rules." This is over-the-counter gold derivative related.
The fundamentals of gold call for a minimum of $529 now. There is no hidden negative fundamental for gold that will surface unexpectedly, IMO. The game being played by a fund or group of funds working in concert is to force the gold price lower in order to break down the chart formation - especially the longer term Up Trend lines and MACD.
I am not joking. I know markets. I know a jiggle when I see it. I am a clearing house for traders all over the planet so I hear it all - sometimes more than I want to know.
This is a war. If technicals rule then this business is finished because you will never be able to have a view and use technicals for timing. Everything will be a manipulation by chart painting and the painters can pull the plug anytime. The only one to consistently win playing a Nintendo game is Nintendo by selling you the game.
There is so much at stake here because the desire is to get away with triple deficits and not have gold call that bluff. Next week is the battle of the titans but the battle is for honest money, accountability, and the straight story.
The major challenge here is to launch a bull market for the dollar, which will require a reversal of the triple deficits without any policy shift and no further terrorist activities. Without a bull dollar, the manipulators of the charts will lose. Then bankruptcy can explode out of a vertical up move in a situation. Governments can debase money as the currencies run up in a bull market then flat lines.
I believe fundamentals run technicals. God help the world if technicals run everything.
The market conflict of the century will be played out in gold next week.
