IS RUSSIAN BANKING"CRISIS" IMPACTING US EQUITY MARKET?

Wages & salaries growing at 6.6% is not what we would have expected given the recent downturn in corporate buying. One client sent us a link to Sky News where last Thursday, July 8 the most senior economic adviser to Russia's President was quoted as saying that the Russian banking sector is in"crisis" - whatever that means.
This client believes that an impending Russian banking meltdown is what's behind last week's sell-off. We have no idea if that's so or not, but thought we should mention it.
