Re: P/C ratio QQQ
Hi Masch,
besonders klar ist die Lage nicht gerade, zu dem ungewöhnlich optimistischen PCratio ein Text:
On the other side of the coin, the have-nots that currently
stand out are
focused on the
tech-heavy Nasdaq. An indicator that we use to track investor
sentiment
on the Nasdaq
100 stocks is the put/call open interest ratio of its tracking
shares (QQQ
- 70-11/16), which
currently reads 0.64. This means that there are only 64 put
contracts
open for every 100
call contracts for QQQ options expiring within the next three
months.
This is one of the
lowest readings of this ratio since its inception in November
1998, and
may be an indication
of overwhelming investor optimism. Equally optimistic in its
implications
is the lack of short
interest activity on QQQ shares. Last month's QQQ short
interest increased
by just over
seven million shares to reach 50,162,744 shares. While this
number increased,
it is still
well off the 65 million shares short that was seen in February
when the
QQQ reversed a
nine-percent decline.
