Enronitis in Fort-Knox?

The rumors, that foreign Central Bank's deposits of their immense gold holdings, in Fort Knox has been lended to unqualified bullion dealers will not disappear. What in Fort Knox is kept as
security is a bunch of IOY's - (I Ow You) which are not worth the paper, since the lenders are not in the positions to recover at any time their
obligations. By paying the Contango premiums (lending rate) annually to Fort Knox, the hope remains that they never - repeat never - have to return the underlying gold. The gold just isn't
existing any more, it was sold years ago in order
to put the proceeds into financial derivatives.
A personal letter to the Swiss Nationalbank in Berne was answered some time ago in this context:
"we still trust into the administration of Fort Knox and have, for the time being, no adverse feeling of 'wrong doing' in the context you are
mentioning in your letter".

Due to the bank secrecy act nobody and at no time the officials of Swiss Nationalbank will disclose how many tons of gold are or have been
deposited in Fort-Knox.

That's fine, I wouldn't believe it anyway!
