Konzentrationslager in New York?

-->Nur den Beginn des Artikel aus jsmineset. Scheint auch einigen amis langsam mulmig zu werden. Ich glaube, dass wir hier uns in Europa noch zuwenig bewusst sind, was dort drüben an Willkür eigentlich abläuft. Ich finde es einfach krass.


The greatest shock concerning this event is not that it happened but rather that few if any media outlets took note of it. There were 1700 people held in this concentration camp. Many went without water, toilet facilities or food for hours.



Few if any had any formal charges made against them. Many of the people who were arrested, bound in plastic ties and forcibly removed, were simply residents of the areas cordoned off. They were simply surrounded by police who took everyone, no questions asked.

These were not terrorists or even suspected terrorists. This situation looked like, felt like and was in fact a duplicate of the treatment that African Americans met in places like Selma when they sought simply to be treated like all other citizens.
