-->VOW FAZ “FAZ” citing internal sources of VW, saying that the company will not
meet its FY04 sales goal for the new golf model of 600k cars. VW will
sell sligthly more than 5mn cars worlwide, former 5.3mn were
planned. This is not a surprise because company said in the
analyst conference last week that probaly 600k cars +/- 10%
of the “Golf-class”, which includes the new golf model, the
Golf IV and the Golf Variant, will be sold this year. This
implies that the 600k-target of the new Golf model is not
realistic any more.
