In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Wednesday evening, Mecca time (7:40pm local time), Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces at 4pm Wednesday had launched an attack attempting to break into the an-Nazal neighborhood in the southern, Resistance-held part of al-Fallujah. The Americans attempted to make use of the return of refugees to the city as cover for their assault, driving a number of refugee families ahead of them into the neighborhood as human shields.


US to use Kuwaiti ports to supply men and materiel to Iraq, because Resistance activity in Iraq precludes use of Iraqi ports.

The US military occupation in Iraq has asked Kuwait to allow the use of Kuwaiti ports to bring in and send out US troops and military equipment. The Kuwaiti newspaper ar-Ra’y al-‘Amm reported that Dr. Sabah Jabir al-‘Ali, the General Director of the Kuwaiti Port Authority had said that the Americans had asked to use Kuwait ports for the exchange of troops and equipment in Iraq. The General Director said that the US forces were planning to use Iraqi ports to bring in their troops and equipment, but the rising intensity of Resistance attacks is now preventing that."
