I wish I had an answer for the gold stocks. I suspect that we will need gold to break out above the $445 region to really see them move sharply upward.
A lot of people are sitting on the sideline watching to see what gold is going to do as there is quite a bit of unbelief and scepticism that still surrounds gold. I am not one of those skeptics since I believe that the global economic system is running on vast amounts of indebtedness, mostly being run up by the U.S. This cannot continue indefinitely and gold will eventually reassert itself as the heretofore clueless investing public begins to slowly wake up to what is going on around them. Keep in mind that the glue holding the U.S house of cards together is nothing but spin.
Sooner or later, the spin will be insufficient to calm the masses. Even the stock markets are finally beginning to roll over.
As a trader and an investor, I have to take both a long term and a medium to short term view of gold.
Gold can do nearly anything in the short term but long term it is headed far higher. If I did not believe that I would not be accumulating gold stocks.
Very best to you and yours,
Dan
