There is a tsunami about to hit the American consumer, and yet, no one seems concerned. I find it incredible that so many factors are aligning at once: 1) dramatically higher credit card minimum payments; 2) dramatically higher cost for gas; 3) dramatically higher cost for heat this winter; 4) higher interest rates on all loans; 4) new bankruptcy law taking effect; 5) and now they are actually discussing eliminating a large chunk of the mortgage interest deduction! If the savings rate was negative before all this happened, what the heck does the future hold? Why is there so little concern for the future health of the American consumer when the effects of all the above begin to bite? It seems obvious that the consumer is going to get crushed, but the media and government just pretend everything will go on as always...."
"Minimum payment" pro Monat: heute 4% der geschuldeten Summe + Zinsen (frührer 2%)
"mortgage interest deduction": Hypothekenzinsen steuerlich absetzen, oder was auch immer [img][/img]
