If you notice that on either side of the AB top the weekly counts from the highs on either side both have 8 and 15 week counts to the other highs. Looking at the COMP, there is NO other possible acceptable alternate EWT count other than a diagonal triangle from the 1998 lows, and that count could not possibly crest in the alloted time frame for the BULL MARKET TOP. The move up from the 1998 lows IS EMPHATICALLY a 3 wave move. NO IFS ANDS OR BUTS. What you see is what you've got. IT'S AN"AB" TOP, the rarest of all Elliott Wave formations, ONLY found at MAJOR, and I do mean MAJOR TOPS. It doesn't necessarily have to occur there, it is the ONLY place though that it can occur.
