Greenspan comments... speech changed slightly in a few places from earlier testimony... this is not a speech that is prepping mkts for an inter-meeting move.
comments certainly recognize continued softness in the economy, and notes that the economy's retrenchment has not yet run its full course. downplays importance of recent inflation data.
