>The Cincinnati-based consumer goods titan <font color="#FF0000">could cut 10 to 20 percent of its 110,000-person global work force in the face of slower economic growth</font>, the Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition.
>The cuts would also be to compensate for restructuring efforts that didn't trim costs enough at the maker of Tide laundry detergent and Vidal Sassoon shampoo, the report quoted unnamed sources as saying.
>Linda Ulrey, spokeswoman for Procter & Gamble, declined comment to the Journal. Procter & Gamble executives were unavailable for comment to CNN early on Wednesday.
><font color="#FF0000">The company would be the latest among corporate leaders General Electric, Cisco Systems and Intel to announce plans to cut staff.</font>
