Fazit diesmal gleich vorweg: Zeichen der Rezession mehren sich.

zunächst der
~ Chicago Fed National Activity Index für den Februar:
im 3-Monats-Durchschnitt leicht gefallen auf - 0,81%, damit den 6. aufeinanderfolgenden Monat gefallen, vor allem unter die Marke von - 0,71% (=Zeichen der Rezession)

Chicago Fed National Activity Index, nebst Analyse</ul>

dann der
~ Factory Orders (SIO or M3) ebenfalls für den Februar: fiel um 0,4%, erwartet wurden - 0,2%.
Die electronic components widersetzten sich dem Trend, da die Chip-Aufträge ein Plus von 20% verzeichneten.

Summary
<ul> ~ February factory orders fell 0.4%, with declines in several durable and non-durable industries.
~ Computer equipment orders fell 4.3%, more than erasing the January gain.
~ Electronic and electrical parts & equipment bookings rose by nearly $3 billion, recovering nearly two-thirds of the January plunge.
~ Apart from these most volatile components, equipment and IT orders were broadly downward.
~ Bookings for nondurable goods fell 0.3%. More moderate pricing for petroleum products has constrained the dollar volume.
