Prof. Paul Krugman (MIT) hat zu Japan diesen entscheidenden Satz geschrieben:

"The way to make monetary policy effective, then, is for the central bank to credibly promise to be irresponsible - to make a
persuasive case that it will permit inflation to occur, thereby producing the negative real interest rates the economy needs.

Wie sollte Japan Inflation machen können, wenn nicht durch Hubschraubergeld? Damit wäre"credible", dass sie nicht nur unverantwortlich handelt, sondern damit wäre endlich auf die Erlaubnis zur Inflation erteilt.

Alles andere wurde bekanntlich bereits noch und noch versucht.
