~ International Trade - Handelsbilanz: für den Februar 2001 - 27,0 Mrd.$, die Erwartungen beliefen sich auf - 32,9 Mrd.$. Der unerwartete Rückgang ist bei zunehmenden Exporten (1 Mrd.$) grösstenteils auf die rückläufigen Importe, die eine geschwächte Konjunktur widerspiegeln, zurückzuführen.

~ Oil and Gas Inventories - Ã-l- und GasLagerbestände: der wöchentlich veröffentliche Wert liegt bei 313,3 Millionen Barrels. Seit dem August 1999 waren die Lagerbestände an Rohöl nicht so hoch. Die Lagerbestände an Benzin und Destillaten nahmen moderat zu.
