As long as today's 10517 low remains intact, we should allow for another push up early next week prior to a reversal. Resistance is strong at 10800-11000 and odds are also strong that the index will not be able to sustain any push it may attempt beyond this area. A break below today's 10517 low will be the initial signal that the advance from 9376 (Apr. 4 low) is complete. A fall below 10425 will greatly strengthen the case that a near-term high is in place. How far down should the Dow decline? Since my confidence is low at the moment in the larger picture, I'm not entirely sure how low the Dow will fall. I do know that it cannot overlap the top of the previous first wave (if that's what it is). That level is 9961, the March 27 high. Any break of this high will leave in place a three-wave rise from the March 22 low and signal that the bear trend was back on track.
