"Speaking of Cisco, we had one of the all-time great dead-fish [= Analyst] comments in the Wall Street Journal this morning. A dead fish from Morgan Stanley said,"We have to accept the facts of life. If investors want to be in these high-growth companies, we are just trying to take what they are willing to pay and translate it into a target price, and therefore a stock recommendation."

So there, he openly admits that all this raising-price-targets nonsense that these dead fish do, is just divining what they think people are willing to pay for these stocks and then upping their price targets. It has nothing to do with fundamentals, as we've been describing all along. Save that quote for your kids."
