Bush: War Could Last 'More Than 2 Years'
President Bush yesterday warned it could take"more than two years" to win the war on terror as he headed off for China on a six-day trip. Bush stopped first in California to rally troops before taking off for an economic summit in Shanghai. As he left Travis Air Force Base, he spoke of a little boy who's telling friends about his dad's role in the war effort:"Daddy's saving the world." Bush added:"The boy is right. The future of the world is at stake." But he also warned that it won't be a quick effort as he met Asian newspaper editors in the Oval Office."It may take more than two years... So long as anybody's terrorizing established governments, there needs to be a war," said Bush

Mehr als 2 Jahre schließt auch 8 und 15 Jahre mit ein - je nach dem, wann die amerikanische Wirtschaft wieder Boden unter die Füße bekommt (wohl nimmermehr).
