are not on the"deflation" bandwagon
Despite last month's sharp drop in producer prices, we are not on the"deflation" bandwagon. The drop in energy prices and 0% vehicle financing are temporary, and are unlikely to be indicative of future prices trends. In fact BLS noted that excluding vehicles, prices for finished goods other than foods and energy would have shown no change last month. Nevertheless, inflation is not a problem and is not currently a factor in Fed deliberations. www.ndr.com
