And the Nasdaq 100.
'Force them to refinance,
Give dear old Keynes a chance!'
Into the Valley of Debt

Force them to speculate!
Scared that they'll be too late.
Zero real rate CDs
Blinds them to high P/Es.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to go and buy:
Into the Valley of Debt
And the Nasdaq 100.

If there was ever any doubt that what financial assets most respond to is not macro-economic data, or even a cold hard analysis of long-term returns on capital at risk, but rather to that volatile mix of sentiment and liquidity, this week provided a good illustration.
